Radio 3AW's Jacqui Felgate asked James Nixon about a Qantas flight that waited six hours for the winds to become favourable for takeoff at Melbourne last night, since the long runway was unavailable for use.
Eventually the flight was abandoned.
Apparently some passengers were offered accomodation, with most being sent home.
Why would this be the case?
